Sharks are essential pillars of marine ecosystems — the natural regulators that keep our oceans healthy. Yet, overfishing and misconceptions have pushed many shark species toward extinction. Our team’s mission is to use technology to prevent illegal shark hunting and to help people understand the crucial role sharks play in nature.
Through our telemetry-based pressure sensors, we can detect when a shark leaves the ocean environment. These signals indicate possible fishing activity, allowing authorities to focus control efforts in those regions. In addition, by creating heat and feeding maps from telemetry data, we analyze shark movement and habitat patterns — supporting scientific research while helping tourists identify potential shark risks in coastal areas.
